In this article I’m going to write about anker astro e4 external battery. I also mention all the pros and cons of this device.
The anker astro e4 external battery is actually a power bank. The capacity of this power bank is 13,000 mAh.
The battery is made completely out of plastic material which is glossy. This glossy plastic materials usually attracts fingerprints very easily and all other smudges. But some people may like it some people may not.
So in the end it’s up to the consumer to choose it. On the left side of the device there is nothing much to see just an empty glossy plastic. On the front side you can see Anker logo. Also you can see for light switch light up when the device is in use. On the right side there is a multifunctional bottom which is used to power on the device or use the flashlight. On the bottom the unit there is nothing much juice and plastic. On the back there is nothing except some certification marks. Finally you flip the battery to the top and here you can see two USB ports as well as micro USB input port along with a tiny flashlight.
Let’s do some testing with the included micro USB cable to see how it performs in real life. One of the key specs of this battery is that it has power IQ technology Anker claims that this technology should intelligently identify your device to speak its unique charging language.
It basically means that it identifies the device and it tries to charge it at the full possible speed. When you connected the device to the battery and it started charging the device automatically. You didn’t need to push any additional buttons whatsoever. What’s more the charging process is confirmed by the LED lights which lit up when the device is charging. Furthermore those lights indicate to you how much juice is left in the battery. Therefore it lets you know when you need to charge the external battery before we go into a long trip.
So this huge capacity 13,000 mAh power bank were more than enough to power up your smartphone on the go. Basically I managed to charge up my device almost five times before I needed to recharge. The external battery which is quite impressive. In addition to this the dual USB charging ports which lets you charge two devices at the same time.
Moreover the power IQ charging technology charges your device really fast. Another thing that you could liked is that the external battery starts charging your device automatically soon as you connected to the device you want to charge.
Also there is a flashlight functionality. The flashlight is located next to the those two dual USB ports. I didn’t really use it a lot but it’s good in case you need an extra flashlight.
On the other hand there are some cons which need to be mentioned. One of them being the size of the battery. First thing is that it’s quite bulky and it may not suit for all the occasions.
Another disadvantage might be that glossy plastic finish of the battery. But again this is a personal preference but personally I don’t like it the thing is that glossy plastic easily attracts all the fingerprints smudges and dust and I just don’t like it. Some people may like it I’m not sure.
Despite a few cons I just told you I would still recommend this battery. I believe it would be a best fit for those who usually go for long trips or carry around several devices and they want that extra power on the go. However if you don’t have several devices or don’t need to charge your smartphone for like five times I would recommend you to look for a smaller battery which could easier fit into your pocket. Still I would definitely recommend something which has power IQ technology which you can charge the device is extremely fast.
That’s all about Anker Astro E4 External Battery Review. Thanks for reading this post.
